A 970 square foot Kitchen and dining area, and a 450 square foot basement entertainment space are both under construction in this Westwood home.   The new kitchen remains light and airy, featuring white inset cabinetry with a walnut island and rich, cherry wood floors.  The basement has a contrasting color scheme with light grey floor tile, dark cabinetry and whimsical accents: textural backsplash tile, a green sofa, and bold art.  Drums, guitars and fun art soon to be installed, to be completed in the Spring of 2018.

The renovation of the main kitchen involved combing two spaces into one larger living area.   A central kitchen and work space is flanked by a casual lounge area on one side, and casual dining on the other.  The casual dining space includes a custom banquette and new sliding doors to an adjacent deck, it replaces the previous formal dining room that was unused.  A new oversized island bears a unique shape that mimics the bay window of the kitchen sink.
